A few days ago, while browsing through National Geographic, I stumbled upon an article recommending 9 places to visit in one’s lifetime, which immediately captivated me.

I have personally experienced some of these places, while others have been on my travel list. Today, I will share with you to see if there is one you have planted grass in?

1. Marrakesh, Morocco

When it comes to Morocco, does the image of the exotic Sahara Desert in Sanmao’s works immediately come to mind?

But the place I’m going to talk about today, even more fascinating than the desert, is Marrakesh.

This red city, ancient and mysterious, seems to have walked out of the story of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’.

Walking on the narrow streets of the old city of Medina, you can feel as if time is flowing back here.

Various spices, leather goods, and handicrafts are dazzling, and the air is filled with the fragrance of mint tea. The sound of vendors’ continuous sales echoes in the ears, making people dazzled.

When it comes to eating, it’s even more of a feast for the taste buds.

Be sure to try the local specialty Taji pot, where various meats and vegetables are slowly stewed in pottery jars with a strong aroma. Paired with the local mint tea, it’s simply amazing!

2. Rome, Italy

The saying ‘All roads lead to Rome’ is not a casual statement.

As the cradle of Western civilization, Rome carries too much historical weight.

From the magnificent Colosseum to the exquisite wishing pool, from the ancient Pantheon to the sacred Vatican, every place is breathtaking.

Do you still remember Hepburn riding a motorcycle through the streets of Rome in ‘Roman Holiday’?

You can also rent a bicycle and ride slowly along the banks of the Tiber River, experiencing the romance and vitality of this city.

3. Machu Picchu, Peru

Do you still remember the “Heavenly Waterfall” hidden in the clouds and mist in “Up in the Sky”?

Machu Picchu is the real-life version of the ‘Lost City’.

This ancient Inca Empire site, located in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of over 2000 meters, is known as one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”.

To reach Machu Picchu, you can choose to hike the Inca Trail or take a train.

Along the way, you will see magnificent Andes mountains, mysterious cloud forests, and adorable alpacas, making it an unforgettable journey.

4. Zhangjiajie, China

Speaking of strange peaks and rocks, how could we be without Zhangjiajie in China?

The “Floating Mountain” in the movie Avatar was created based on this place.

Take the Bailong elevator directly to Yuan’s home, and walk on the glass walkway, as if you are on top of the clouds, with the abyss at your feet and the strange peaks around you. You will never forget the thrill.

5. Blue Lake Iceland

Iceland, a place that sounds cool just by its name!

Here, you can experience the fusion of ice and fire.

On one side is a volcano covered by glaciers, and on the other is a hot spring emitting steam. This wonderful contrast can only be experienced in Iceland!

If you are lucky enough to see the dreamy aurora, it is a dream sight for many people!

6. Tanzania Serengeti National Park

Do you want to experience the wild charm of the African savannah up close?

Then come to Serengeti National Park!

This is one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world, where spectacular animal migrations take place every year.

Millions of herbivorous animals such as zebras, antelopes, and zebras traverse the grasslands in search of water sources and grasslands, creating an extremely shocking scene.

Of course, you can also see various wild animals such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, etc. here, which is definitely an unforgettable experience for a lifetime.

7. Kyoto, Japan

Do you want to experience traditional Japanese culture?

Then come to Kyoto!

This ancient city preserves a large number of temples, shrines, and traditional buildings. Strolling through it feels like traveling back to ancient Japan.

You can experience Zen meditation at Kiyomizu Temple, pray for blessings at Fushimi Inari Shrine, meet geisha dressed in kimono at Gion, and taste authentic matcha and kaiseki cuisine. It’s definitely a cultural journey.

8. Yellowstone National Park in the United States

As the world’s first national park, Yellowstone National Park is a magical place.

Here, there are erupting geysers, colorful hot springs, spectacular canyon waterfalls, and various wildlife, making it a natural wonder museum.

You can drive along the Ring Road for sightseeing, or choose to hike deep into it to experience the amazing craftsmanship of nature.

9. Paris, France

Finally, of course, let’s talk about the romantic city of Paris!

This city is full of artistic and romantic atmosphere.

You can climb up the Eiffel Tower to overlook the whole city, admire the smile of Mona Lisa at the Louvre, stroll and shop on the Champs - É lys é es, and enjoy French romance and laziness by drinking coffee and basking in the sun on the banks of the Seine River.

How are you, my friends?
